A team of friends who serve the church
Our church is led by a team of men and women with a range of gifts and a shared passion to serve God, His people and His purposes.
This is a team effort
The overall direction of the church is provided by those with recognised ‘Ephesian 4’ gifts and ministries, working together under the apostolic leadership of David Lyon. They work closely with our Elders, who lead and care for the church in its day-to-day life and mission, and our wider team of volunteer-leaders who serve so faithfully across many areas of the church.

And He personally gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers, for the training of the saints in the work of ministry, to build up the body of Christ, until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of God’s Son, growing into a mature man with a stature measured by Christ’s fullness.

David functions an an Apostle to the church and provides overall vision, direction and foundations for all Living Rock Church congregations.
Andrew is a recognised Prophetic ministry to the church. He brings us the word of God with clarity and direction.
Debora is a recognised Prophetic ministry to the church. She often functions alongside David as they minister across the churches.
Ian is a recognised Evengelistic ministry to the church. He shares the gospel with simplicity and love and empowers the church to reach out.
Charles is a recognised Pastoral ministry to the church. He provides care to many people.
Christopher is a recognised Teaching ministry to the church. He helps the church understand God's word and makes space for revelation to come to many.
Elders & Wives
Elders are appointed to serve in the church, alongside their wives, with particular focuses on:
Christopher serves the church by caring for people and helping them to get the most from the teachings of the Bible. He and Ellie share a passion to see every member of the church grow and mature in their Christian faith. Chris also coordinates the work of our Trustees and provides an important link between the Trustees and Elders (the leaders of the church).
Richard and Annie give their time and attention to the congregation that meets in Stoney Stanton, where they provide leadership and pastoral care. Richard also helps to look after our children’s groups.
Together with his wife, Rosanna, William provides pastoral care to the church with a particular concern for those in the Stoney Stanton congregation. Will also brings co-ordination to a number of community focussed compassion projects and loves to see the church equipped and envisioned to reach the world around them with the love of Jesus. Will is a passionate worship leader and oversees the LRC worship teams, providing direction and support for the musicians and singers.
Mike and Lauren live in Stoney Stanton and are passionate about reaching people with the good news and love of Jesus. Mike is helping to lead the congregation in Atherstone and together they love investing time into the younger generation.
Phil and Sharon mainly give their time to helping look after the congregation that meets in Market Harborough, and provide leadership and pastoral care to the congregation there alongside Stephen and Mandy. They are also both involved in the worship team, amongst many other things!
Stephen and Mandy primarily give their time and attention to caring for the congregation in Market Harborough. Together they want to support and encourage the church family there. Mandy also helps to lead the rapidly-growing children’s groups!
Deacons
Deacons are appointed because of growth and for growth.

Alex & Lisa have been faithfully serving as leaders of our children's ministry for over 20 years.
Pete & Emily look after our youth (11s to 18s).
John & Wendy provide excellent pastoral care primarily in our Market Harborough congregation.
Mary provides excellent pastoral care primarily in our Stoney Stanton congregation.
Christine provides excellent pastoral care primarily towards our growing community of internationals.
Simon is focussed on the outreach and mission of the church and will often run Alpha Courses.
Benj has been looking after the church's media output and communication for the last 10 years.
Holly helps to look after the church in the area of worship.
Sadie is a trustee and helps ensure the finances of Living Rock Church are stewarded well.
Esther is a trustee and helps ensure the finances of Living Rock Church are stewarded well.
Richard is a trustee and helps ensure the finances of Living Rock Church are stewarded well.
Staff
We have supported members of staff because there are jobs that require much more time than most would be able to give as a volunteer. Members of staff are predominantly there to facilitate the functioning of the church but the church only works if every person plays their part. There will never be a time where the work that is required to make the church function properly will only be done by staff. Our efforts will always be given to freeing up the staff to take on specialist and complex work or work that facilitates the rest of the church to be as effective as possible.
You'll most likely find Phil in the kitchen! He cooks over 40 meals every week for the homeless community in Leicester as part of the Rachel's Table initiative that we support, as well as cooking for other events throughout the year,
Nina comes in to the church building in Stoney Stanton several times each week to make sure that every room is clean, dust-free, and ready to host lots of people.

Leanne looks after the day-to-day running of our finances. She works closely with Pete and the Trustees to make sure accounts are balances and budgets are kept!
Lisa looks after our children and families ministry in the church. She plans sessions, provides crafts, trains our ever-growing HotRock team and ensures that all congregations are supporting parents and children as they learn more about Jesus.
Benj makes sure the church is represented well to the world. He looks after the website, branding, social media, design, photography, video and large events throughout the year, ensuring our message is communicated with clarity.
Mandy ensures the day to day running of the church office happens smoothly. She keeps on top of our church database and makes sure events and Sundays can function well.
Adam manages and maintains the church building in Stoney Stanton. He thinks strategically about the best ways we can use it, how we can improve it, and the increasing challenge of how we can fit more people in it!
Suzanne oversees our Mumstop groups in Stoney Stanton and spends her time setting up and running the groups, planning parties and maintaining relationships with some of the families that visit.
Helen works closely alongside David and provides support where needed. She also gets stuck in with church events and aspects of the wider Apostolic ministry.
Pete acts as the hub of everything going on in the life of the church. From serving teams to life groups, Sundays to external hires, policies and procedures, and the general wellbeing of the team. Pete does it all!
